Our client, an international social enterprise dedicated to the sustainable practice of farming is looking for a self-motivated and agile leader to take its team through the next phase of growth.
The position entails advancing the organization by scaling & optimizing production, identifying efficiencies and areas for cost reduction, implementing operational excellence with the highest safety standards, identifying & executing business development opportunities and building partnerships with other NGOs to multiply impact through micro-farming initiatives.

Manage profit and loss of the client.
Manage a 10+ person team to meet overall objectives of the firm and specific targets, including production targets and cost reduction targets.
Responsible for hiring all senior staff.
Oversee product development projects in collaboration with a food science team.
Develop a sales team and develop sales skills in current staff.
Foster and maintain contractual product development relationships with local food manufacturers.
Collaborate with entomologists and research team to optimize breeding process.
Expand current micro-farming project.
Manage relationships with NGOs.
Oversee collaboration with legal team and food science consultants to ensure compliance with local food regulation.
Develop export opportunities; acquire necessary relationships and regulatory permits to accomplish this
Report to a remote team in the USA


The candidate must have 5 or more years of management experience with teams of 8 or larger.
A bachelor’s degree in Agriculture/Operations and/or related field.
Experience in operations management, facility management particularly in the food and/or agricultural sector is an asset.
The candidate must have professional written and oral proficiency in English.
International experience/exposure in addition to professional or personal experience in Ghana is a must. Experience working with remote teams is an asset, but not compulsory.
