Description

Our client, a major financial service company, has an opening for a "Chief Financial Officer" to manage its finance functions. This role will involve taking full financial and accounting responsibility for the Group. The incumbent will work closely with the CEO on strategy development and implementation at the group level. This position is based in Accra, Ghana. Responsibilities include: • Providing central financial direction to the Group. • Exercising general administrative direction and control over group accounting functions. • Directs and oversees the development of financial policies, business strategies, and all other top level financial functions. Qualifications & Skills: • Must have at least 3 years experience in a managerial role. • Solid knowledge and experience in group accounting. • Must be a certified, qualified accountant with 10+ years’ experience in Accounting and Finance (CPA, FCCA, ACA, ACCA, CIMA, etc). • Prior experience in financial services industry is a plus. Prior experience also in Internal Audit, Forensic Accounting, Financial Reporting or in the Big Four is a distinct advantage. • Must be detail oriented and exhibit strong organizational skills and leadership abilities. Must demonstrate the ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously. • Must possess solid analytical ability, good judgment and strong operations focus. • Must be an excellent negotiator who is experienced in contracts and fiduciary responsibilities.
